Platinum opus • New from Monitor Audio is a third generation of its flagship Platinum series, featuring centre channel, standmount and two floorstander models. A freshly minted MPD III (Multi-Pleated Diaphragm) tweeter is used across the range, joined by revamped mid and bass drivers. Pricing begins at £3,500 for the C250 3G centre and peaks at £11,500 for the 'formidable' 300 3G floorstander, which features dual 8in woofers. The speakers' curved cabinets are offered in Piano Ebony (pictured), Piano Black, or Pure White Satin.
