Dumbo Feather

Issue 72
Magazine

Dumbo Feather is lovingly produced three times annually (March, July, and November). In every issue, we scour the world to engage in rich conversations with extraordinary people. Our contributors and interview subjects share their lives, their work, and their vision for the world. Since 2011, Dumbo Feather has lived at Small Giants Media, and the magazine has grown into what it is today, embracing podcast and digital platforms to engage our community more deeply in the conversations that matter. Storytelling opens hearts and minds. Through sharing our stories, we enrich our lives and those around us. This will always be current, vital and potent. Pass it on.

Becoming

AGAINST THE GRAIN: UNEARTHING BUSINESS WISDOM IN THE WORLD OF PUNK ROCK • For aspiring leaders of the Next Economy, the anger, energy and DIY ethos of punk rock is a vital resource, writes Oliver Pelling.

BRIDGES • It all started over a shared love of Liverpool F.C. Jordan O'Reilly, CEO of Hireup, met Scott Taylor when Scott began to use the platform: an app that connects people with disabilities looking for support with care workers who they can choose. Jordan and Scott share how they've forged a friendship - and blossoming working relationship through good times and bad.

‘HELLO, HUMAN. THIS IS EARTH. WE’VE GOT THIS.’ • I saw it as soon as I entered the lounge. It sauntered past the window - confident, elegant, present. I froze. It froze. The fox turned its head and we locked eyes. I remember feeling time stop. I remember the sensation of glass shattering. I remember hearing, “Hello, human. This is Earth. Nice of you to join us”.
