Baxter, a former associate editor of Wanderlust magazine, has written a book that features vivid descriptions and the historic significance of 25 movie locations from around the world. From classics (Lawrence of Arabia, shot in Jordan) to contemporary films (Parasite, shot in Seoul), the book immerses readers into the represented movies with details about the stories behind the films and how the real-life places influenced the plot points. Grimes's illustrations use bold colors that give a whimsical look and feel to the settings. The combination of words and images will likely compel readers to watch the featured movies, or maybe even plan trips to the locales. VERDICT Movie buffs, world travelers, and readers of The Worldwide Guide to Movie Locations by Tony Reeves will find much to appreciate in this book. It's a great addition to any film or travel collection.--Noelia Martinez
