Vogue Italia

Fearless Generations

Egypt’s Favourite Destination • Cairo Festival City Mall is growing thanks to Festival Avenue, its new shopping, dining and entertainment expansion. A series of special initiatives will be offered in collaboration with Vogue Italia and Vogue Talents, culminating with the inauguration scheduled for 2023.

THE FUTURE IS IN THE MAKING • Fashion is embracing circularity thanks to biomaterials: a playground for innovators. Their experiments are on display at Amsterdam’s Fashion for Good Museum until mid-2022, in a programme that is evolving with a scouting project for creatives. Titled Grow, the show offers a “taste” of the future, with some of the featured materials even originating from edible substances. The institution that launched the initiative gave us the low-down on the most promising developments.

The Finnish Scene • With its virtual presentations and collaborations between heritage names and new brands, Fashion in Helsinki was all about fostering up-and-coming designers.

SCOUTING

Fashion Deserves the World • Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana (CNMI), in conjunction with the start-up Mygrants, presents a new project to promote inclusiveness in the international fashion system.

Responsible Evolution • Istituto Marangoni and Vogue Talents come together, for the second consecutive year, to scout for talents in sustainability and innovation.

The Pathfinder • Aiming at propelling the avant-garde store founded by his parents, Michaël Hadida wants to renew the spaces and expand the e-commerce, also thanks to a brand new project.

Sneakers d’Auteur • The partnership between Saucony Originals and Coliac’s Martina Grasselli combines craft skills and eclecticism in a whole new version of Jazz Court sneakers.

Live-your-self • A special key visual made of text and images has been developed to support the Spring Summer 2022 edition of the Rakuten Fashion Week Tokyo.

AT THE BEGINNING OF EVERY FASHION CAREER, WHEN CREATIVITY KNOWS NO LIMITS

Focus on the New Generation • Rome Fashion Week opened the doors of Cinecittà’s historic studios for a return to the runways in grand style, with limited live events and on its digital platform.

Keep on Learning • IULM University has developed a new Executive Master in Luxury Business and Communication. It’s meant for those young graduates and professionals who want to continue to further develop their skills and update their competences.

Inspiration Activewear • Promoting the new generation of designers is the mission of the JMJ brand, which will present its first collection during the next Milan Fashion Week.

THE POWER OF DIALOGUE • The independent project Art3 Collective is committed to building a brighter future. Through public advocacy, educational workshops and social media campaigns, these sons and daughters of immigrants are promoting inclusion and calling for equality. We spoke with seven of them to find out about their experiences and their fight against discrimination.

Mission Recycling • CONAI and Vogue Talents have joined forces to launch a new scouting project with a green soul.

TERRA INCOGNITA • starring Marie Sophie Wilson

IMMATERIAL WARDROBE • Cyber garments are made with CGI software and only exist in digital spaces. They are “photo fitted-to-order” and delivered as data files to customers who can wear them online. This is the trailblazing phenomenon of “virtual fashion”, and it’s taking the world by storm. We’ve selected some pioneering brands and...
