SPANISH WINE CONTINUES DOWN THE ROAD OF INTERNATIONALISATION • The Spanish wine sector finished the difficult year of the COVID-19 pandemic with a decline in both the value and volume of exports. However, in 2021 wineries and promotional bodies are putting the focus on the international promotion of Spanish wine. During these uncertain times, the Spanish Institute for Foreign Trade (ICEX) (Instituto Español de Comercio Exterior) and the Interprofessional Wine Organization of Spain (Interprofessional del Vino de España) have signed a collaboration agreement to build awareness of Spanish wines in the international market.
