What does hedonism mean to you? • Creating things. That’s the one time where, if it’s working out, then man do I feel good. I think I’ve felt that way since I was a kid. It makes me feel better about everything. I never think about what I’m doing. I just pick something up, try it, and if it turns out, then fuck yeah!

BLUE BOY • Mac DeMarco made his name as the ‘lovable prince of indie rock’: a chain-smoking, whiskey-fuelled joker who can’t help having fun on the road. But after 10 years of singing about growing up, he’s become a homebody just trying to keep his head screwed on.

BODY LANGUAGE • Bronwen Parker-Rhodes’ films and photography are loaded with physicality. Drawing from her experience as an erotic dancer, she believes that nothing communicates with more power than intimacy.

SNEAKERHEADS • But true sneakerheads don’t believe in keeping their stash stored away in immaculate condition. They’re to be worn and lived in, accompanying the ups and downs, only kept for as long as they matter.

THE ART OF INTIMACY • Horiren 1st is one of the world’s most sought-after tattoo artists, celebrated for keeping the ancient Japanese method of Tebori alive. But in a country where body art is considered taboo, her journey to the top hasn’t been easy.

24HR PARTY PEOPLE • After the shocking death of a much-loved activist, Athens’ queer arts scene is on a mission to over-come widespread fear and homophobia. That fight has never been more dangerous, but these voices of resistance are only growing louder.

GROWING PAINTS • Drag performer Ilias Gkionis (Gingerella) waits backstage at the University of Athens' student halls.

ON YER BIKE • The Rough-Stuff Fellowship is the world’s oldest off-road cycling club: a pioneering gang of adventurists who believe that you can go anywhere on two wheels. Over 60 years after its inception, an archive of the club’s defining moments is finally coming to light.

BLOCK ROCKIN’ BEATS • EarthGang is a larger-than-life hip hop duo with a simple aim: telling stories that represent real life in Atlanta while pushing what that sounds like to the outer limits.

WEE MUCKERS • Photographer Toby Binder has been documenting the lives of Belfast’s youth ever since Brexit began to unravel. By embedding himself on either side of historic dividing lines, he found that these teens have more in common than they might realise.

DEVIL MAY CARE • In a time of chaos and uncertainty, when traditional belief systems no longer seem to have all the answers, a new generation are finding comfort in Satanism. But these aren’t devil worshippers who drink blood or sacrifice animals. They’re just regular people trying to squeeze the most out of life.

BEYOND HUMAN • As a leading light in experimental music, Holly Herndon is reimagining how we use technology – from crypto-raves to collaborations with artificial intelligence – at what is starting to feel like a pivotal moment in history.

MERCHANT OF MENACE • David Bowie copied him. Jimmy Savile got battered by him. Wrestling never saw anything like him, before or since. This is the story of Exotic Adrian Street, a flamboyant brawler who blurred the lines between athlete and artist.

RED LIGHT REVOLT • The British sex trade remains an off-radar taboo, relegated to a legal grey area. But with looming legislation threatening to put workers in danger, sex activists are fighting to be better understood.

THE LOST TRIBE • Yet despite glaring differences between Mods and Scooterboys, ‘straight’ society often couldn’t...
