DISCOVER THE LATEST INSTALMENT IN THE FARGO ADVENTURES FROM BESTSELLING GRAND MASTER OF ADVENTURE CLIVE CUSSLER
The legend of Croesus's riches has echoed across millennia. Stolen and hidden by pirates after the Persian King's defeat in 546 BC, his staggering wealth was thought to be lost to history . . .
Treasure-hunters Sam and Remi Fargo know it's out there somewhere. A decade after their search for the King's gold first brought them together, the husband and wife team return to Greece to uncover the hoard that has always eluded them.
But they're not the only ones looking.
The reappearance of a vengeful and ruthless rival forces them into a deadly race against time to find the treasure. And until it's found no one is safe.
Least of all Sam and Remi . . .

With all the switchblade plotting, globe-trotting action and explosive intrigue that Clive Cussler has made his own, Wrath of Poseidon delivers another white-knuckle ride from the Grandmaster of Adventure.

Early in bestseller Cussler’s posthumous 12th Sam and Remi Fargo adventure (after 2019’s The Oracle, also coauthored with Burcell), an intriguing origin story, treasure hunters Sam and Remi meet with St. Julien Perlmutter, “a world authority on maritime history,” concerning the one treasure they never found, a hoard of gold stolen from King Cyrus in 546 BCE. Sam tells Perlmutter how he met Remi Longstreet 10 years earlier at a café in Hermosa Beach, Calif. The attraction was mutual, and, after getting to know each other better, Sam and Remi decided to go to the Greek island of Fourni to search for the treasure trove known as Poseidon’s Trident. Also hunting the treasure was wealthy Greek businessman Adrian Kyril, who would stop at nothing to find the gold. Flashbacks detail Sam and Remi’s exciting battle to thwart Kyril. In the present, events make it imperative that the Fargos return to Fourni to take up the Poseidon’s Trident mystery once again. Readers will keep turning the pages to see what happens next. Series fans will hope Cussler’s recent death won’t mean the end of this popular series. Agent: Peter Lampack, Peter Lampack Agency.
