      David Chandler continues to narrate this excellent series featuring game warden Joe Pickett. This is the 17th in the series, and Chandler has voiced them all, to listeners' delight. Dallas Cates--whom Joe was instrumental in jailing in a previous book--is out of prison and seeking his revenge on Joe and his family. Pickett fans are in for a treat, and so is anyone new to the series. There's enough background information for the story to stand alone. Chandler is a gifted and mature voice, and the writing is tight and fast paced. Once started, the listener will bolt to the finish, all the while rooting for the Pickett family.
