A sparkling quartet of episodes from the humorous BBC Radio 4 quiz, chaired by Miles Jupp and Zoe Lyons
The News Quiz once again recruits the sharpest comedians and commentators to tear a strip off the headlines.Lining up to make satirical sense of current affairs are Hugo Rifkind, Andrew Maxwell, Simon Evans, Zoe Lyons, Andy Hamilton, Ayesha Hazarika, Tim Shipman, Lucy Porter, Frankie Boyle, Mark Steel, Jen Brister, Helen Lewis, Katy Brand and Geoff Norcott.
Among the hot topics in this tumultuous year are the beleaguered Brexit deal; Theresa May's resignation and the search for a new Conservative leader; a milkshake attack on Nigel Farage; the collapse of British Steel; human composting in America; new rulers for Brazil and Venezuela; fires in the Amazon; the proroguing of Parliament, and vicious seagulls.
The programme also pays tribute to much-missed News Quiz regular Jeremy Hardy.
